Mint Duo — Apple & Chocolate Mint | 2-Pack

$12.00

8 live bare root plants with 5–6" stems  |  4 stems each of Apple Mint and Chocolate Mint  |  Field grown in Brattleboro, Vermont  |  Washed clean of soil, mailed in moist medium

Two mints. Eight plants. Two completely different flavors — and together, one of the best combinations in the garden.

Apple Mint (Mentha suaveolens) brings a soft, fruity sweetness with fuzzy silvery-green leaves and a gentle fragrance that doesn't bowl you over. It's the mint that works in everything — fruit dishes, cocktails, teas, salads — without dominating. Beautiful in a container, excellent as a ground cover, and one of the most visually appealing mints you can grow.

Chocolate Mint (Mentha × piperita 'Chocolate') is exactly what it sounds like — the depth of classic peppermint with a subtle cocoa finish that comes through most clearly when the leaves are bruised or dried. It's the one your guests will ask about. Use it in desserts, chocolate pairings, infusions, cocktails, and teas. The dark stems and deep green leaves make it one of the most striking mints in the garden too.

Each variety arrives pre-labeled so there's no guessing when you unpack. Soak the roots in a glass of water for 24–48 hours before planting — or skip the soil entirely and keep them growing on a sunny windowsill in a jar of water. Both varieties thrive that way.

See our Growing Guide at mint.monster for full care instructions.
