Ginger mint is the looker — green leaves streaked with translucent gold, brightest in cool spring weather, on reddish stems.

A note on the ginger mint: its gold streaking is strongest in the cool weather of spring and fall and fades toward plain green in high summer heat. That's the plant behaving normally. Cut it back hard after it flowers and the new growth comes in gold again.
